Many times the stock will drop immediately after it has broken out of its range. This makes it difficult to determine which stocks will move higher after a break out.

Some of these stocks may then continue their upward momentum for some period of time as more buying continues to move the stock higher. It is always difficult to know if there is still time to buy the stock and ride it higher or if the upward momentum is over.
